This collection consists of various correspondence and records of Raymond Dzendzel for the years 1968-1970. The correspondence files contains letters in and out covering a wide range of legislation to requests from individuals for assistance. Subjects discussed include campus disorders, civil disturbances, crime, drugs, education, health, highways, labor, medicine, parcohaid, sex education, and urban problems. The subject files consists of materials accumulated by Dzendzel during his last term in office on topics of legislative and constituent interest. Most is correspondence to and from Dzendzel.

Raymond D. Dzendzel was born on July 29, 1921 at Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a graduate of Redford High School and the Detroit Institute of Technology with a B.A. degree. He married Eleanor Borland in 1947 and they had four children, Sandra Kaye, Judith Ann, Cheryl Lynn, and Lee Ann. He was a business representative, a member of Carpenter's Local 982, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USS Peoria.
